JOB DESCRIPTION – INVENTORY CLERK
STORAGE & INVENTORY TEAM
Reports to: Hatchery hardware supervisor (machinery and storage)
Division: Production
Department: Lake Operations
Grade: GWT4
Direct Reports: None
Job Overview:
Ensures proper management, storage, and distribution of materials, feed, and equipment for hatchery and grow-out operations, maintaining accurate inventory records and minimizing losses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and issue feed, equipment, and materials as per operational needs.
- Ensure machinery and spares are properly stored and inventory levels well managed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent spoilage or damage.
- Coordinate with Hatchery teams to anticipate material requirements.
- Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items promptly.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
- Use PPE such as gloves, safety shoes, and masks as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas to prevent accidents.
- Report spills, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma in fisheries and Aquaculture, inventory management or any other related field.
- Experience in warehouse or inventory management.
- Knowledge of stock handling, storage, and record-keeping.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational timelines.

- Diploma in Fisheries & Aquaculture, Inventory Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in aquaculture or agricultural operations.
- Strong knowledge of stock handling, storage, and record-keeping procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
