The Liberi Foundation contributes to education in disadvantaged communities. In 2017, we entered a partnership with the Liberi Foundation to build a new primary school for 120 children on the Yalelo premises.
Wageningen University has provided research support to Yalelo since it’s earliest days, by providing researchers to help build the capacity of Yalelo’s Research and Development Team that monitors the environmental impact that the farm has, with a particular focus on water quality. Beyond the 2019 support, Wageningen will continue to support water quality and environmental sustainability research projects in collaboration with Yalelo.
WorldFish is an international, non-profit research organization that harnesses the potential of fisheries and aquaculture to reduce hunger and poverty. FirstWave has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the WorldFish Centre to develop programs to support the growth of the smallholder farm sector in Zambia.
